Schaller Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi plant in Normal, Illinois, had been producing regionally focused vehicles until now. But the U.S. plant will now focus on producing smaller global small cars, hybrids and electrics vehicles.

As, Schinichi Kurihara, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, indicates, the company will be launching four new models in the U.S. within three years. This introduction will happen simultaneously to the phasing out of production by 2014 of four slower-selling vehicles.
